Plus points are the interior, rarity and better on track for the EK. Negative point is price for an old car and rattles. The EP has availability and newer on its side (I'm ideally looking for a car W reg or newer) as well as practicality but lacks AC a lot of the time and the interior is gash compared to the red on the 'real' type R's.Similarly, as the interior was expected to be gutted, the Motor Sports Edition featured a standard grey fabric interior from the EK variant and not the Recaro seats with matching door cards found in the regular Type R.
Honda Civic Type R EK9 Interior. Interiors are generally pretty tough, although you’ll almost certainly find that the red seat fabric has faded to pink and the seat bolsters are worn and sagging. The driver’s right-hand bolster is the one that wears the most, but replacement foam from Recaro is available and isn’t too expensive.
